Gotham movie

Joe Grant of NYC shot this great Super-8 movie at the Gotham Rally a couple months ago. (it’s on scoot.net, thanks to Cathy for pointing it out!) Joe’s starting a magazine for NYC scooterists, mostly focusing on twist-and-gos, it’s expected to debut in February.

Abe gets hardcore

I missed another hot Waxon Seven show last night. I guess Abe is a corazon negro now. Daaang! Chad: “I feel like a 17-year-old scantily clad girl whenever I see ’em.” They’re playing Kathy’s birthday party on November 1st at Memories (Montrose and Cicero) with another band called “Kathy Anderson’s Little Sister with Bob Barker’s Neutered Cat”. It appears to be aimed mainly at new scooterists and twist-and-go riders, and features reviews of the Kymco Super9 and the Aprilia Mojito, along with new products, tech advice from Daniel and Jack of Sportique, and even some recipes.

Fire Clinches MLS East

The Chicago Fire beat Columbus 2-0 in their first game back at Soldier Field Friday, clinching their conference and home-field advantage for the playoffs. Their last regular-season game is Saturday the 18th at Soldier Field. What? Is there something else happening in Chicago sports? Oh, right! The Blackhawks won their opener. And good luck to Sue-Ann and Jen in the marathon!

MASS Stock Class, Final Round at Gateway Int’l

by Mike Durso | Well, for all the trash-talking the past few weeks between the top three racers, this weekend’s final round came off like a wet fart. Ryan Bastinelli’s bike locked up with a frozen big end bearing. YoFatTim was plagued by broken throttle cables and various other bugs. Myk Rodriguez had new job conflicts and was a no-show. What happened in stock class?
