the reporter said this was a “crime of opportunity” but also that the suspects were casing the neighborhood. They looked like they’d stolen scooters before with the ease at which they picked it up.
Comprehensive insurance is the key for me. I just don’t want to worry about the scooter and have accepted that if mine gets stolen I’ll just get another one.
Living where I do it “seems” as if it is safer than a big city. But things, including scooters and motorcycles, get stolen in the sticks too. Last Sunday morning I left the GTS parked along a street early in the morning with the keys in it for about 2 hours. Didn’t realize the keys were in it until I was walking back to the scooter and reached in my pocket and didn’t find them. For a moment I wondered if it would still be there.
It was. Even blind squirrels get an acorn now and then…
