If you have friends who are fans of scooters and alien conspiracies, what would make a better gift than Dana Scully Scooter Club 2001 Calendar posters? T
he 13" x 19" poster features color photos of the (in their own words) "lovely DSSC gals." They're packing heat, which will please that demographic. They're only three bucks each, plus shipping. What better way to know what day it is, before your official 2001 Piaggio calendar shows up in August? Email April for ordering information.

POC Phil has a great new page up, Cult of the Garage. It's growing as great people like you send him photos of your sacred workshop.
Coming attractions include a whole page of photos of Rob Hodge's bunker. You can't pay for insight like that.

There's another Westside? Oh, It's not the WestSIIIIDE!

Check out the "only winter run on the east coast," the Incriminators' Freeze Your Balls Off 2001 Rally in Chapel Hill, NC. January 12-14 2001 (MLK weekend). Sean promises it'll be warmer there than in Cleveland.

Big Rye and I went to the Chicago Toys for Tots meeting on Friday, December 1 to give them the $200 that Second To Last Scooter Club raised at our rally. Just as it occurred to me that I had no idea what Jack Voss looked like, I looked to my left and saw a guy wearing a "Jack Voss" name tag. At the time I thought it was an amazing coincidence, but now I realize that Ryan and I stuck out like sore thumbs and he was following us around waiting for me to see his name tag. Jack led us to the stage and they made a really big deal about it, which was nice, since it was only a measly $200. I mumbled a pathetic improvised speech and then we went to the bar to capitalize on VFW beer prices. Ryan was getting hit on by a drunk 50-year-old biker chick, so we headed outside and met a few really nice folks, then Ryan went to see Rocket From the Crypt and I went home like the lameass I am. As far as I know, our entire club managed to blow off the Sunday ride again, even though the weather was pretty good for once. We rule!

Mykrrr reminds you: a Mini Cooper makes a great Christmas gift!

No word on the paint situation, and I'm still too creeped-out to call. We'll check in when we head up for Christmas. For all we know, it's done and they can't find our phone number. Or not.

Still waiting for ET3 decals from Scooter Centre Köln.

With Daniel from Sportique Scooters' loads of help, I've determined that both regulator/rectifiers I have are shot, but the coil's kicking ass. I also figured out that the two fuses were combined into one fuse, which was in parallel with the regulator and battery, frying them both. I've rewired the fuses to the original specs, and I'm going to replace the battery and try a new regulator/rectifier from Sportique that should work if I disconnect the turn signals and rewire the horn. But there's no hurry, because it's… starting… to… snow. Crap.

Oh, yeah… I should work on that beast one of these days. I'm still waffling; rebuild (for the fourth time), have it rebuilt (but where?) or buy the new Bajaj motor with all the money I don't have anymore because I spent it all on Christmas presents and a ticket to Vegas?
