Scooterpatrol.org

Scooterman, the British company that dispatches riders on folding pocketbikes to transport inebriated motorists home in their own car, has finally had their great idea ripped off by Americans: Scooterpatrol.org, however, uses Go-Peds instead of folding pocketbikes.

  1. So they prevent one illegal act by performing another?. I thought go-peds were against the law. Still I would rather have a go-ped driver on the road then a drunk anyday

  2. When I see the word “Scooterpatrol” I keep singing it in my head to the tune of Prince’s “Pussy Control…”

    “Ooooooooooooooh, scooterPATROO-OOL!”

Dunno why, but I thought I’d share.

  3. “Illinoisy”, Just to set the record straight, while it is obvious that Scooterman out of the UK is the innovator of this method and a great company to boot, Scooter Patrol was the first to do this for FREE through the non-profit system and did not “rip off” the idea from anyone. If you check your facts you will find out that there is a company in Colorado (USA) called Niteriders that charges for the same service that was in operation for a full 2 years before Scooterpatrol was born. So, maybe you should attack them since they were before us! Also, the Goped scooters we use are totally legal and made right here in the good ol’ USA.
    Thanks for the pub :)

  4. Hey, guys, Sorry if i sounded snarky, I think it’s cool that someone is doing it here in the USA. thanks for clearing that up. I also didn’t realize the service was free, that’s fantastic and definitely takes the idea to another level!

Facts? There are facts? I should look into those!
