Just as I start mocking the rehashed press releases that pop up every spring, MSBNBC posts what just might be the most honest and realistic mass-media scooter story ever written, or at least one of the few to feature real-world advice along with real experience and research, some culled from the ScooterBBS. Bravo! This is the one to send to your scooter-curious friends.

Reading through it again, my only real complaint is that while the specific parking examples it lists are realistic, they’re not the norm, many urban scooterists find it just as hard, if not harder to find legal and safe scooter parking as they could find with a car, and often times it’s equally expensive.
I think it was a great story. But your right that just one sentence about how parking and licensing can vary greatly by locality would have covered it all well. I’m glad there wasn’t they typical DUI/don’t need a license and most areas statement. Overall, a round of applause is in order for Ms. Ono.
I like the story in the related content as well:

It also makes short work of the topic but all around it seems accurate and will put people on the right track in terms of thinking about their bargains.
I didn’t have to drink(!) at all while reading that article!
You didn’t have to but you were anyway, right Dave?
