Scooter Station features photos of a new Honda Motocampo concept, a modernized version of the scooter that was designed to fit in the back of the Honda City automobile for the 80s Japanese market. It was a great idea then, and still is, but will Madness be available for the television commercial?

I like it. Low floorboards and horizontal-ness everywhere. Awesome.
Weird ad. British Ska band, American settings, for a car and mini-scoot only sold in Japan.
It would be neat to see something like the Motocampo be offered, But wouldn’t something like the Yike Bike work better as an adjunct to a car? It could recharge in the car, be used for local travel Segway style while ranging about from distant parking lots, and then folded up and carried on your shoulder in a bag when you go indoors.
As a MotoCompo devotee (still on the hunt for the perfect one) The new one pictured is about 6.5 feet long and doesn’t fold up…GRRRRRR. Sure it’s a box, but not a box I can fold up and sling over my shoulder, or stuff behind the seat of my Tacoma or better yet Honda Civic Wagovan (I love wagovans).
