MASS Stock Class, Final Round at Gateway Int’l

by Mike Durso | Well, for all the trash-talking the past few weeks between the top three racers, this weekend’s final round came off like a wet fart. Ryan Bastinelli’s bike locked up with a frozen big end bearing. YoFatTim was plagued by broken throttle cables and various other bugs. Myk Rodriguez had new job conflicts and was a no-show. Thanks!

At the risk of getting that shitty Geggy Tah song stuck in your head, props to the guy who cut me off in his minivan on Friday.
Guy: (FX, van skidding)
2sb: (FX, duck-fart horn)
Guy: , (leaning out of window) “Oh God, I’m really sorry! I didn’t see you!” (Starts to drive off)
2sb: “Hey, guy!”
Guy: “Yeah? Look, I’m really…”
2sb: “no, I just wanna say I’ve been riding for seven years and have been dangerously cut off by hundreds of people, and you’re the first person ever to apologize, thanks!”
Guy: “Yeah? Wow. Uhhh. OK then.”
So that was cool until ten minutes later when a van whizzed by within a couple inches of me and the guy tried to smack me in the head for fun. People are neat.

Bloggingworks

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to attend the
BloggingWorks workshop run by Coudal Partners
and 37 Signals. It was enlightening to see how weblogs can be used by business, and I had many opportunities to share my wisdom, surely the high points of the day, ha. If you’re a weblogger and are interested in transferring these skills to your day job or freelance work, it’s worth checking out. Jack Vinson took some notes at the presentation, a weblog in itself (Death to Powerpoint!). Sooner or later, all this work is going to pay off Bwahahaha.

Almost Vegas 2002

The Agents of Indianapolis and the Ten Year Lates of Cincinnati are hosting their annual ALMOST VEGAS rally this weekend, in Indiana just downriver of Cincinnati. I hear it might be your last chance to fondle Adam Biddle as a Cincinnatian.

Thanks, Gapers’ Block

Hey, our Times thingy got us a mention on Gapers’ Block. That’ll pull in more hits than the Times thingy, thanks Andrew! Gapers’ Block is a daily must for all Chicagoans, but I’ve been meaning to ask them, what’s up with the FIVE-pointed stars?
