Chicago rock-stars-to-be and WNUR darlings The Cells, fronted by ex-2SB-neighbor Cory Hance, have finally released their debut album, We Can Replace You on Orange Recordings. Track it down, you’ll dig ’em.

With a chubby gal like me behind the wheel, it would only be a matter of time before I drove off a curb and sent the training wheels flying.

I just came across a site which has some interesting tidbits on maintaining your P Series. It’s not updated all that often, but perhaps you’ll find something you can use (at your own risk, of course).

The Fashionable Roadkill fashion show is taking place at Corosh restaurant in Chicago on July 2. It’s a benefit for 2SB’s favorite radio station, WLUW, and prizes include a Kymco People custom Onion scooter (from Baron Von Scoot) and clothes from Futuregarb, a new Wicker Park outfitter. Might be a fun time, or at least more fun than a Piaggio Boutique opening, and it benefits WLUW, the only station in town playing Death Cab for Cutie, Pavement, and The Pixies back to back to back.

Apparently, Posh Spice got her knickers in a knot over the appearance of hubby David Beckham’s mohawk during a rain-soaked game with Dinamarca. Read her plan to save English footie.

In other news, Greg Kinge came and went and the World Cup has been insane, but with Gregs visit, I fell behind on Cup news, but I’ll get back on the stick today. Oh, and I actually did some scooter riding this weekend, that’s a first.

Dee Dee Ramone was the most Ramone of The Ramones, he was the one they never picked at 53rd and 3rd. He was the one with the drug problems. He was the one that quit to put out the shittiest rap album of all time. He played the bass, the most Ramone of all instruments. He was the youngest looking Ramone in 1974 and the oldest looking Ramone in 2002. Dee Dee died last night of an apparent overdose. R.I.P.,D.D.

Dee Dee Ramone, 50, was found dead in his Hollywood home Wednesday night. At this point, it appears he died from an accidental drug overdose. Read the story here.
