Free scooter for headhunters
Kirk Tindel in Atlanta lost his job last week, so he’s offering a free scooter to “anyone [who] gives him a lead that ends up with him getting a permanent position in his area and within his salary range.” Choices include a Gilera Runner 180 and a few Vespas.
Scooter Racing Nationals
After a few years of attempts to start a national scooter race, it looks like someone pulled it together. Scooterracing.info features information on the race, due to be held in Colorado in September, and interviews with top racers. Hopefully MASS will announce a schedule soon so the midwest kids can represent.

Our beloved Chicago Fire suffers another loss as mighty keeper Zach Thornton signs a
six-month deal with Benfica. I linked to SoccerAge because I liked how they called the Fire “Reigning MLS Champions.” We wish. Hopefully, “six months” means “Until Bossio returns, shortly after the MLS season starts.”

Matthew was apparently intrigued enough by the Adiva to look up the Benelli Moto website. I can’t beat “sufficiente” on the memory game, but I now know they have an importer in Georgia, so that’s good news. They don’t look nearly as cool as the BMW C1, but then again we can’t buy a BMW C1 here, so that’s moot.

Honda UK’s “My First License”
In another example of how the British motorcycle industry kicks the American motorcycle industry’s ass, Honda UK is offering “license classesâ€? for 5-11-year olds at local bike shows. The licenses aren’t valid, of course, but the program delivers a message about safety and responsibility to british kids (along with Honda’s sales message) at an age when their American counterparts are riding dirt bikes without helmets on their uncle’s farm.
